Reasons to stay active

1. Exercise and group training sessions- boosts your brain power. Regular exercise helps to develop better concentrations and mental clarity by sending more oxygen to the brain and stimulating the release of testosterone, which promotes confidence and improves short and long-term memory. Also it will help you become more focused.

2. Exercise gives you more energy- regular exercise increases your energy levels. It does this by reviving up your metabolism. Taking up cardio exercise builds stamina's and this allows you to do continuous activities for longer without feeling tired.

3.Exercise boosts your metabolism and burns kilojoules- high intensity activities where you work up a sweat and raise the heart rate will burn the most kilojoules, the reason we gain weight is because we eat too many kilojoules from wrong food and drink choices, than what we burn up through physical activity. Try high intensity activities, like group training, sprinting- interval training, boxing, skipping, stair climbing etc, "simply keep active daily".

4. Doing a sport or group training- helps you make new friends. keeping fit and active, being involved in a sport or group training has many benefits, you meet and get to know new friends. Gives you team building skills and improves your socializing skills. Training in a team or group session encourages motivation with each other, and develops a healthy, keen, sense of competition. Remember this, " Great team work divides the effort but multiplies the results!"

5. Exercise- gives you a natural pick me up. Exercise is a natural stimulant which makes you feel good by boosting happy hormones, known as endorphins and serotonin. helps not alleviate depression. Coffee, chocolate, etc are only short term "pick- me - ups", boost your mood by keeping you awake, or chocolate for drowning your sorrow only temporarily, then leaves you feeling lower than were to begin with.

6. Being fit makes you healthy- physical activity naturally stimulates the immune and circulatory systems and relieves stress. Lack of exercise is more of a risk factor for ill health and disease than being overweight. To beat illness keep fit. If you're thin and unfit you're at a greater risk of illness and disease than if you're large and fit. Remember prevention is the best cure, starting to be regularly active now will set you up for a long and healthy life, way past your teens. Just get out more, start moving your body and having fun, interacting in a group activity for a total fun factor, start up your body's engine and get some kick butt action happening!
