Our connection to nature, the planet and the universe is vital, however, with rapid advances in technology and our modern fast-paced lifestyles, many of us have become separated from our basic bond with mother Earth. When was the last time you walked barefoot on the Earth?

We all know that the sun gives us warmth, light and vitamin D and the Earth provides us with fresh air, water, food, and a surface to live on. However, it has recently been discovered that when our bare feet make contact with the Earth’s surface our body’s uptake a natural and subtle energy iImage of a face, earthing blogn the form of electrons that have a negative charge – we call this vitamin G. This could be the difference between feeling good and not so good, of having little or a lot of energy, sleeping well or not so well, looking vibrant or looking tired and old.

what-is-earthing-1Throughout history humans walked barefoot, slept on the ground, cultivated their land with bare hands and spent a lot of their time naturally grounded.  However, we have become increasingly disconnected from nature by our modern lifestyle.  Conductive leather-soled shoes of our ancestors have been replaced with insulated rubber and plastics.  We sleep in beds and homes off the ground. Our homes and offices surround us with electronic devices, wireless connections, microwaves and cell towers, which assail us continuously with a positive charge.

Earthing involves coupling your body th the Earth's eternal and gentle surface energy. It means walking barefoot outside and/or sitting, working, or sleeping inside while connected to a conductive device that delivers the natural healing energy of the Earth into your body. For more than ten years, thousands of people around the world- men, women, children, and athletes have incorporated earthing into their daily rountines. The results have been documented and they are extraordinary.

The remedy for the disconnect is simple. Walk barefoot outdoors whenever possible and or sleep, work, or relax indoors in contact with conductive sheets or mats that transfer the energy to your body. People who do on a regular basis say they sleep better, feel better, and have more energy during the day.
